The
consignment note, commonly known as the "delivery note", is a document
filled out by the consignor based on the terms of the trade contract and
letter of credit, and used by the carrier or its agent to handle the
shipment of goods. The carrier, based on the contents of the consignment
note and taking into account the vessel's route, port of call,
schedule, cabin space, and other conditions, deems it appropriate to
accept the consignment.
装货单
Loading note
The
bill of lading is a document issued by the shipping company that
accepts the shipper's request for shipment and instructs the captain to
load the goods on board. The loading list can be used as a basis for
loading goods and is also one of the main documents used by the shipper
to handle export goods declaration procedures with the customs.
Therefore, the loading list is also known as the "customs document". For
the shipper, the loading list is a proof of completing the shipment of
goods. For shipping companies or their agents, the loading note is an
instruction document that notifies the shipping party to accept the
shipment of the batch of goods.
收货单
Receipt
The
receipt, also known as the chief mate's receipt, is the receipt of the
ship's receipt of the goods and the proof that the goods have been
loaded onto the ship. The first mate on board signs the first mate's
receipt based on the date, number of items, and cabin space annotated by
the tally personnel on the tally sheet, and verifies it with the
loading note. The shipper shall exchange the loaded bill of lading with
the carrier or its agent by presenting the signed receipt of the first
mate.
